Features and Application of Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve

Since its inception. the triple eccentric butterfly valve has undergone a process of self-improvement and continuous development in order to meet increasingly severe working conditions. Even if the most basic zero leakage and triple eccentric butterfly valve can be achieved in theory. it still depends on careful design and precise manufacturing. On the basis of absorbing and summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of other brands of triple eccentric butterfly valves. Badie Valve Co.. Ltd. has launched its own unique triple eccentric butterfly valve JRVAL. Its characteristics are as follows:

         1. API specifications

        As we all know. API609 has in fact become the international standard for valves used in important industrial pipelines. JRVAL designs and manufactures in strict accordance with the latest 1997 edition of API609 specifications. What’s more valuable is that JRVAL’s basic design is not limited to only one API specification. BS5155 ANSI B 16.34. ASME SEC VIII and other major specifications can be matched. This ensures that JRVAL is useful in all industrial fields.

       2. double safety structure

       JRVAL strictly follows the API609 specifications to prevent the deformation of the butterfly plate caused by the influence of fluid pressure and temperature. the dislocation of the valve stem. the sealing surface occlusion. and two independent thrust rings are installed on the upper and lower sides of the butterfly plate. So as to ensure the normal operation of the valve under any working conditions;

At the same time. in order to prevent unexpected accidents caused by valve stem damage and flying out caused by unknown reasons. independent valve stem flying out prevention mechanisms are designed at the lower end of the valve. which also guarantees the pressure level of JRVAL from the side. It can be as high as 2500 pounds.

       3. no dead zone design

        In the design process of JRVAL. special consideration was given to the application in the field of control. and the sealing principle of the triple eccentric butterfly valve was fully utilized to ensure that the butterfly plate does not scratch the valve seat when the valve is opened. and the torque of the valve stem is directly transmitted to the seal through the butterfly plate This means that there is almost no friction between the butterfly plate and the valve seat. which eliminates the common jumping phenomenon that is common when opening ordinary valves. and eliminates various unstable factors such as friction {HotTag} in the low opening range of the valve. The control failure caused by the phenomenon. that is. the elimination of the dead zone (non-sensing zone). which means that JRVAL can almost enter the controllable area from 0 opening to 90 opening. and its normal control ratio is more than 2 times that of ordinary butterfly valves. The regulation ratio can be as high as 100:1 or more. This creates good conditions for JRVAL to be used as a control valve. especially when the diameter is large. the cost of the shut-off valve is extremely high. in addition. the shut-off valve cannot achieve zero leakage. and it must be used in the working conditions that require emergency shut-off. A shut-off valve is installed on the side of the JRVAL. and JRVAL integrates control and shut-off. and its economic benefits are extremely considerable.



         4. body valve seat structure

         There are two valve seat installation structures for triple eccentric butterfly valves. Most of them are installed on the butterfly plate for the convenience of the drawing. However. JRVAL adopts the main body valve seat structure and installs the valve seat on the main body. Its advantage is that compared with the butterfly valve seat. it greatly reduces the chance of the valve seat directly contacting the medium. thereby reducing the degree of erosion of the valve seat and prolonging the service life of the valve seat.

         5. Thin-layer valve seat structure

         JRVAL's valve seat is made of laminated stainless steel sheet and graphite sheet. This structure can effectively prevent the influence of small solids in the medium and the sealing surface seizure that may be caused by thermal expansion. Even if there is a small damage. there will be no leakage. . And this is unimaginable for double eccentric butterfly valves or other triple eccentric butterfly valves.

         6. replaceable seal pair

         JRVAL's sealing pair can be described as unique. not only the body valve seat can be replaced. but also because the butterfly plate sealing surface and the butterfly plate are independent. the butterfly plate sealing surface can also be replaced. that is to say. when the butterfly plate sealing surface is damaged. there is no need to Xingshi mobilizes to transport it back to the manufacturing plant or disassemble the valve on a large scale. and only need to change the sealing surface of the butterfly plate. This not only greatly reduces the maintenance cost. but also greatly reduces the maintenance man-hours and the intensity and difficulty of the maintenance.

         7. balanced fixed structure

         Starting from the characteristics of the sealing surface shape of the triple eccentric butterfly valve. JRVAL's sealing pair is fixed by bolts in an elliptical distribution. which not only has accurate positioning. but also makes each bolt receive a balanced force. preventing uneven stress distribution. The sealing pair is loose and leaking.

         8. Intrinsically fire-resistant structure

         Many valves claim to have a fire-resistant structure. but most of them use a soft and hard double seat structure in order to reduce leakage. In fact. this is very dangerous. Because the incomplete combustion of the soft-seal valve seat during a fire will cause the metal supporting valve seat to produce stress and temperature difference deformation. which will lead to the failure of the refractory function. Therefore. currently Europe and the United States are gradually excluding this type of refractory valve that does not deserve its name. Because Tritrc has zero leakage. it does not require the aid of a soft seal. is a veritable intrinsic fire-resistant structure. and has received API607. API6FA and BS6755Part2 fire-resistant inspection certificates. This ensures that JRVAL can be used in various hazardous areas such as petroleum and petrochemicals. The best example is that the valves used in various key parts of the conservative Britain and North Sea oil fields are almost all covered by JRVAL.กก

         9. High sealing packing structure

        The problem of valve leakage has traditionally focused on the leakage of the valve seat. that is. internal leakage. while ignoring the leakage of the packing. that is. external leakage. In fact. it is an indisputable fact that in the contemporary society where environmental issues are increasingly valued. leakage is far more harmful than internal leakage. JRVAL triple eccentric butterfly valve is a rotary valve. its stem action is only 90 ° rotation. which is compared with the valve stem action of gate valve. globe valve. etc.. which is spiral multi-turn reciprocating motion. the wear degree of its packing part is very low. relatively The service life of the ground is very long. and because JRVAL adopts the highest standard design in the external leakage prevention structure such as the packing seal. the standard sealing performance can be guaranteed below 100ppm when the external leakage test is carried out in accordance with the EPA21 specifications.
